This is my test model for a school project, so the programmers can test how well it works with the engine and so on.

About 2800polys, 1024 colour and normal map.

Its not based on any current model of the humvee, its more of my own design. Please feel free to give suggestions and so on /images/graemlins/smile.gif . Have in mind that this is my second more serious model xD.

nice model, could do with much more texture work and a good specular ?

Yes i do agree (:, i'm going to make the texture alot more muddier and torn and a spec is planed, since the engine supports it and it needs to be tested (:

so i saw the title "humvee" and i started wondering if someone had made a nice looking model of a humvee.
and then you rape my eyes with this...

is these line drawings not good enough for you to make an at least reasonably accurate humvee?

Dejawolf that seems awefully uncalled for. I think he did a decent stab for a first run. I agree it could use some work but it certainly didn't "rape my eyes" like some things posted on these forums.

wow someones got some issues regarding humvees it'd seem...

Good model, I agree about the paintjob though, but if its only a test model...

there seems to be an arbitrary dent on the back panel mind, it looks like a smoothing error from it being flipped?

I would say there are some details you are missing in the normal map. You could add some more rivets on the front side panels by the wheel well, on the bottom side under the doors, as well as the vents on the hood. There are some other details, but if you look at some good reference I'm sure you'll see them.

WOW Dejawolf...seriously WTF!!!

I hope you get kicked in the balls today by some random stranger cause that comment was fucked up.

Anyways...Joel welcome to the forums.

Not a bad first stab. Could use more work but still if it's just a quick mesh and texture to test in engine then I would say it is good enough.

Boosting up surface detail, dirt, scratches, rivets, etc will add a lot to this baby.

Looking forward to more in the future...
