I thought after GDC we'd be hearing more about this game. I've been dying for info after seeing some of the enticing concept art.

The media blackout's killing me! Anyone with more info about this?

well this isn't new media or anything, but I've heard from people who's played it that the controls and gameplay are both totally unique, totally intuitive, and totally fun. You can jump from building to building and it feels perfectly natural and satisfying. Just like in real life.

No idea about the game, but I dig the tech tattoo.

Haha. It seems we have a teasing Dice-member on the boards now?
Anyway, http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/ has some nice coverage on this, and they seem to be pretty excited about it as well. I'm really hoping the controls are intuitive. In which case I'll probably love the game to death, heh.
edit: I really love the colourscheme; those saturated blue shadows, coupled with the red 'hints', it's very nice. No excessive bloom either, thank god. That really wouldn't have fit the game, I think.

A first person la parkour game? I can't imagine how that could work. First person perspective and jumping puzzles do not usually make for a happy pairing. I mean if it works, it'll be fantastic - Assassins Creed done right, I just don't quite see how it will.

Looks really cool to me. I love the style they're going for, the screenshots look interesting if not amazing, and the concept art is nice so far.

The controls and "feel" will really make or break this game IMHO, so I assume they're testing this to perfection ... if it all works out it sounds really fun.

love the environments. but when i was looking at those screens the first time, i was sure the lead character was male. the hands do not look very feminine, i think the characters could be much better, but hey that never stopped a game from being fun. the lighting and palette are crazy amazing.

I've heard that the camera POV is pretty crazy, and may cause nausea since whenever you perform a flip or somersault or roll(something you will be doing a lot of), your view does the same thing.

Can't wait for more info. I'm digging the style of those screen shots. The super white\AO look, with bright splashes of color.

yes, kudos to DICE for pushing this long-neglected aspect of the FPS. and the screenshot palette choices for the city are so damned crisp and arresting... this one's been moving up my list, yes.

I remember seeing that mag cover a long while ago, dig the character design. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm surprised DICE haven't been hyping this lately.

Judging from hellobuddy's post, there will be a shitstorm of hype pretty soon. :-) I haven't even gotten over the anticipation for Battlefield Heroes, damn.

Thanks for the link MightyPea!

The March 2008 Issue of PLAY just shipped and has a really extensive interview and write up on Mirror's Edge, it was an awesome read. I'm excited. Hopefully they'll get it up on their site soon so the losers who don't subscribe can read up on the goodness.

Sounds amazing. I like that you can see her feet when you kick and jump.
