"will air exclusively on ABC's Good Morning America between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Immediately thereafter, the footage will be available at the film's official site IndiannaJones.com, Yahoo! Movies, and in motion picture theaters."

i think the trailer is in front of Jumper if anyone is going to see that.

Very interesting to see Indy so much later in life. He still gets around pretty good, but they played it up for some laughs. I guess now it's the years *and* the mileage /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I really liked it, looks great, its awesome to see Indy back in action. Playing up the age is great. The parts that worked for me are the parts where Indy is doing what he always does, the parts that didn't, where the hints at brand modernization and torch passing.

I'm a little reserved about Shia LaBeouf. It just seems like they throw him in any movie just to be a goofy young guy that will help pull in the younger crowd. Give the younger generation some credit they don't need an ambassador to introduce them to a good flick.

I haven't read up on the new Indy flick, does anyone know if the whip is being passed to Shia? I think it will be brand suicide if he replaces Harrison Ford outright if they go for a sequel. Maybe he has more range then I've seen and he can pull it off, but he just seems like an odd fit.

I cant stand Shia Lebouf. He is terrible.

I'm really excited for this movie anyway, hopefully he doesn't ruin it like he ruins everything else.

dunno about the kid, but I have to say that the trailer very much feels like it's in the same spirit as the originals. Unlike the Star Wars Prequels that felt like a totally different universe, this, is DEFINITELY, Indy.

Tumerboy: agreed.

They have some more crazy VFX shots, which is awesome. That may make it seem a bit more over-the-top than the older films, but I have high hopes.

Then again,I'd follow Harisson Ford into straight into hell.

Do you remember the original trailer for The Phantom Menace? Everyone as out of their heads with how amazing that looked.

what a ropey trailer

hope it's not bad as die hard, with the one liners and immortality / super strength cheat on.

The whole fun of the Indy films was down to him not talking much, and getting the shit kicked out of him.

hawken - well, he DID drink from the grail at the end of the last one

weird, weird trailer. It's almost like a fan cut it together.

Yes yes, I remember the amazement at Ep I's trailers. . . but I can't help but hold out some hope for this. Besides, I think we all know Spielberg is a better director than Lucas. . .

Looks pretty cool. I think the trailer could've gone without the long beginning of text telling us about what Indiana has done previously. Otherwise, should be fun, the lucasfilm logo had me going 'awwwwwww' then the "steven spielberg film" text had me going "YAYYYYY".

While I watched this I got flashbacks of being at my dads apartment watching the original 3 movies over and over and over again..

Can't wait!

danr : I'm not sure, but I think that the grail's power (but I'm just talking about the immortality part, of course) was only working in the sanctuary.

Anyways, the spirit of the original trilogy seems to be still there ! I just can't wait /images/graemlins/smile.gif

"hawken - well, he DID drink from the grail at the end of the last one"

It stopped working once he crossed "the seal". Which is why the knights who left died at a very old age, and the knight that stayed behind lived on.

As for Shia, I can actually imagine him being a pretty decent Indy in a few years. He just have to drop the goof level a bit, and be a bit more mature. If he's a halfway decent actor he should be able to do this.

Though considering I couldn't tell his characters apart in Disturbia and Transformers, I suppose it isn't too good of a sign..

Hmm, looks pretty cool. I really didn't except to see Ford being in so much of the action sequences but it looks convincing for the most part.

Shia as the next Indy?! NO! he has no where near the maturity or acting chops yet. also he doesnt have the rugged 'Malboro man' look that Indy needs.
I'd rather see John Wayne's corpse running around with a whip.

Cool! I was blown away by the 'Indy' show at Disney Orlando last year - so the whole family's ready for this.

Plus, being an older, rugged looking Dad will be cool again..

Yeah I love the series, can't wait for this one. I'm pretty excited that Shia Labeouf will be playing his son as well.

I liked it. Shia ladouche with the black leather jacket left me feeling uneasy. "Your a teacher?!" "Only part time *whip crack*
I don't know about this new trend about resurecting our old heros. Rocky, Rambo, Indy. I'm not saying it's bad, but Where are the new heros? Why is it so hard for hollywood to come up with new heros for the kids to grow up with?
It seems like all the new heros are so gritty it's hard for the young kid audience to latch on, and all the heros that are made for kids to latch on to are so watered down and vanilla they are here and gone in marketing blink of an eye.
The cool thing about Indy, is that I thought he was so cool when I was in third grade, that was when Temple of doom came out. Man that movie is so gross and so awsome. Hearts being ripped out of chests, necklaces made of ears, kid slaves getting whipped by big indian dudes who looked like my uncle Ray, and yet it was considered sort of a family film! My parents where totally cool with me watching this.
I don't know what im trying to say, I just hope they don't neuter Indy to keep whith the new ideas of what ratings boards deem acceptible for familys.

I liked the rambo movie. It was an old guy running around massacring people. Sometimes i think people take movies and games too seriously, and fail to recognize the label of
"Entertainment"
Indy 4 looks great, loved the others.
So much fun to watch, and this one seems like it should be too.
However, the new star wars movies were pretty bad, even if they did have some enjoyable bits.

I'm not beating it down... It's Indiana Jones for the love of God but does anyone else find the Even Stevens Guy really really annoying...

Putting my nitpicking aside I think It'll be awesome!!!! (Rubbing hands together) Cant' wait can't wait can't wait!

Not saying it's not fun. I don't go to these movies and expect to have my life changed or any thing. I guess I am just lamenting the fact that the current entertainment landscape makes it hard for anything new to have it's moments of glor.
