Quoted for truth. He's a reliably kick-ass world artist and I definitely recommend working with him.

hey michael
i use maya for almost all my modeling needs and photoshop for 2D work. sometimes i use a level editor too - depends on the engine i'm working with.
try to start with smaller scenes or even just small objects like chairs and stuff to get to know the tools. theres plenty of tutorials and documentation out there (loads linked on these boards) that will help you get started.
good luck /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sa74n's done nothing but outstanding work from all that I've seen of his; even from the days of HL1 modding on projects like Destiny ((remember that one Henning?)). While I've never had the pleasure to actually work with him, his attitude online has always been more than professional and enjoyable to chat with.
Good luck on the hunt dude!
