Just played through this game, and absolutely loved it. If anyone around here is into horror games, check this out. Story is excellent, gameplay is a hell of a lot of fun, visuals are great. It also has a nice little feature where you can collect things (phone numbers and letters) throughout the game. Each one you collect unlocks some bonus content (lots of great concept art, comic books for the game, atleast one painting video, etc...)
Also, I'm wondering if anyone has read the comics that it's based off of? If so, are they any good? I quite liked the story, but the end of the game left me wanting more, so are they worth checking out?

I hired it out a while ago, it was great, definatley worth playing. My brother owns a few of the comics, he's a big fan though I haven't read any of them. I think it deviates from the comics a fair bit, its a lot more realistic and some of the story was switched up. I would highly recommend hiring it out /images/graemlins/cool.gif its a high quality game.

I read around the first 10 issues back then, pretty good stuff (though bought it mainly for the artwork), then I lost track as there was too many crossovers started too appear

Just bought this game, but have yet to really spend any time with it. My plans for the next 2 days off involve playing it through. They got my $$$!
Yay Starbreeze Studios! Those guys do good stuff.

I played about the first half hour or so (Up until just after meeting the girlfriend) aduring game of the week at work a couple of weeks back. It seemed kinda weak sauce. Does it get better?

I think it's pretty good so far. Some parts are annoying though (such as the uber auto tracking that you can't disable).
Good visuals though. I couldn't relate to the characters, and the story seemed weak to me. But then again, it's a FPS /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Facial animation is also horrible, imo.

You can disable the Auto-Aim, it's in options.
Completed this game twice. Whilst I do love what they've done, I can't help but feel the game should have been longer/deeper, there are certain awesome parts that only last a minute where you'd have hoped they'd capatalize on, like the Castle. I'd say deadlines definately show in this game, the first half of the game seems to have been given a great deal of love, but from chapter 4 and onwards, it all seems kinda rushed.
Mike Patton fuckin owns ur ass.
I played it / watched it be played for about 3 hours last week and although I thought it looked fantastic, it looks boring as all hell. And at times, painful. The AI was just... non-existent. And some of the levels that are open fields are really uninspiring.
Nice to look at at times, but didn't actually enjoy it.
I just watched a 9 minute video of gameplay.
Looks like I'm finally buying an xbox...

I had a quick go of it at work a few weeks ago, and I plan on picking it up next pay day.

Partway into it, very high production values. It is pretty bad ass, eating hearts and all.
