Beware, its the Jester Bunny with tentacles from the hell of the upside down drowned!
Just kidding, looks very interesting, looking forward to see more of it, i get a crazy feeling with that one /images/graemlins/laugh.gif.

the head looks pretty sweet, but the physique and the design elements of his armour feel spindly and fragile, maybe exagerate things a little more and see what happens?
02-11-2007, 10:34 PM
spacemonkey: yea i think your right, i will try and exaggerate a little. btw, your entry looks sweet :]
update, the arms are very unfinished so i didnt include em

Looks cool, love the face. The legs seem too small though. What are the things on his head? I can't understand them. Are they leaves?
02-12-2007, 12:48 AM
twebb: thanks for pointing that out, i will check his legs.
About the green stuff on his head, im planning to make antennas very much like these /images/graemlins/cool.gif
This is pretty cool! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

of course this is cool, his name is erik.
02-15-2007, 06:14 AM
update! colors are just preliminary :]
02-15-2007, 06:26 AM
damn, that level of detail is just insane. no ears?
02-15-2007, 07:18 AM
very kik ass... reminds me of Reptile from mortal kombat, however...
Detail on the head rocks.
indian_boy: i'd say as far as MK ref goes, it's much more Baraka than Reptile.

He looks like the rabbit from Donnie Darko. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Tight Work
02-15-2007, 08:43 AM
Yeah, I have to say kill the bunny ears, as I also cannot get over the Donnie Darko symilarities which makes me smile instead of fear. I know you were going to do the moth type antenas but I think that your piece is solid enough without them.
02-15-2007, 01:08 PM
No, keep the antennas!
They're what make this concept original.
02-15-2007, 01:18 PM
mvelasquez: nope, but he got membranes
spark: hmm,, i think i would have to make horns or something instead, if i loose the antennas. and they draw attention to his head and makes an interesting silouhette so i dunno, but i will think about it. thanks for the suggestion :]
rabbits are certainly evil btw
02-25-2007, 09:40 PM
update,, give some crits :]
great modeling erik. I think you could revisit the fingerless gloves design and embellish on it a little. They feel very contemporary for a design that otherwise is pretty futuristic.
02-25-2007, 11:34 PM
I'm really liking the design of this guy, except the antennas. They just don't sit right with me. I think the head is one of the strongest elements of your character and it would be a shame making it look silly instead of frightening.

i'd second Daz's comment about the Bad Dude gloves, but otherwise it's coming along quite swimmingly. one of the more curious (in a good way) entries i've seen this year--please keep us posted with further updates! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

thanks for the input,, i followed your advice on the hands and i think its better now. It balanced him out overall too, so thanks for that :]
i think i need to start the lowres now to be sure i make it on time,,
