Watch the video here if you want:

This will be all we was expecting from luxology. A bone system would be also nice. I dunno if this new feature of modo will be better in perfomance than the recently mudbox 1.0 has.

Also I don't think Modo would be able to handle the polycounts Mudbox does.

Actually, modo is the best modelling program in the market with the fastest viewports ihmo. To see which program can handle more polygons is something to try. I don't dare to say that mudbox is better for sculpting because i haven't used this new feature of modo.

Actually, it's probably got more to do with the fact that I can count the number of modo users in this forum on one hand. =]
Don't expect it to be better than mudbox or zbrush. In fact, don't expect any traditional modeling programs that add sculpting tools to surpass ZB or MB in pure polygon processing capability anytime soon. What's more important is that you will now have the option of doing more of this stuff in the same application, which is still quite useful if not an absolute solution. There will be those who just prefer to do everything in one application even if it doesn't do everything that ZB or MB can too, so for them it should be a welcome addition. I can definitely see this being useful for some of my stuff, even though I use mudbox too.

Btw here are some awesome scripts from Seneca Maynard of ID who seems to love Modo and after looking over all his scripts I can see why /images/graemlins/wink.gif
