I like your re-design. I especially dig the bling.
My only crit would be that he's wearing pin-stripe pants and then runners/trainers instead of dress shoes. Its a little clashing in styles. But its totally up to you really.
But the style you've gone for definately pushes the whole street fighting theme and almost takes him away from the Vegas fighting scene. Like he's gone underground doing illegal boxing fights.
I'd like to see you push the whole gangsta style on him, maybe give him corn rows and some pimp gangsta tats. Maybe even a grill!

i think i might just go for a NYC look maybe a denim look instead of the pin stripes, i do feel like making him more hardcore lookin and rough maybe a wife beater shirt.
i hope he doesnt wind up looking like a GTA character.

me too, it reminds me of an anime depiction of an african american. it has a lot of toonish character imo.

Thanks yall,
any suggestions on how to make feel less cartoony? is it the eyes? i really want to revise the chin and make it more rigid it seems to puffy right now.

Maybe the super square jaw? Try bringing it in a little. Then again it may work as it is, but try a more realistic approach to your texture.
