View Full Version : Who crosses their legs when they sit.?

I'm talking thigh, over thigh action.
Not very manly is it? I sit this way quite alot and I dont even realise it. It keeps my legs warmer in the winter, or in air conditioned summer.

I do, twice... what i mean is my legs are crossed but my left leg is still on the left and right on the right /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
And i know its not very manly and all but its really comfy /images/graemlins/mad.gif

I usually take the 'one foot on ground, ankle on knee' option. Toomas, do you snap your bones in order to achieve this position?? or are you a yoga guru /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Neither, im just tall and skinny.

I can't see how anyone but women can sit like this, my balls get in the way.
maybe if your legs were longer you wouldn't have the problem.

Can't do it. My typical sitting posture is as rooster describes, but ankle under instead of over. Yeah, it's weird, I know ¬_¬

Balls go under the higher thigh. I sit that way some times, but lately less cause my keyboard spends more time in my lap which does't allow for crossed legs so much.

Well. I sit with my ankles crossed, but thats because i have an office chair and kind of tuck my legs underneith the chair a little and then cross them...right foot touching the ground, left suspended less than an inch.
Other than that I sit with my legs wide open like a pregnant lady giving birth... Not attractive but i'm lazy.

I'm a tall guy and have to be careful about bending my knees for too long. I have a habit of sitting on one ankle. But i try to fight it and keep both feet on the floor, and knees at a 90 degree angle or more.
it's weird : blokes who sit like this usually go climbing too. Hands up anybody who does sit like this and DOESN'T enjoy scurrying up cliffs.
Every way i sit seems to give me a dead leg eventually, i've never in my life found a particularly comfortable position. I quite like lying down.
danr, haha, me too... i do cross my legs like that sometimes, but it nearly always results in a dead leg sooner or later.
and yes, i do enjoy scurrying up cliffs!

Lift some weights, and you'll be cured of that sissy looking sitting position. Seriously, I've got legs like tree trunks, and couldn't hope to get in that position.

topic of the century.
yes the nuts propose a serious issue. however, as a tall and *elongated man myself, i have found the "drag and drop" procedure a great relief. simply lift the entire assortment, place one leg over the other, and then gently release the package strategically over the top for maximum convinience.
you're still gay as fuck tho /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

This is best done at a really important meeting at your place of employment.
I once had a roomate that would sit on the couch watching TV in that exact same pose as Shaz there. ( only without showing his bush ) I could just about abide it ( although If Im really honest it bugged me a little. But only enough to punch him in the face ). But what *really* got my goat is that he would constantly bounce that top leg up and down. Ggggrrrrr.

My best friend sat like this all the time. He was also very tall and very skinny. I can barely sit at all without crushing my huge balls and cock.

Me too! Really! ...Really!
No, actually, I find myself sitting with legs crossed when I'm at my desk sometimes. I've been getting generally antsy around the middle of the workday for some reason, and probably maneuver into that position without thinking about it, to control potentially deadly fidgeting. That's how my uncle died, y'know.
Also, I don't want any pervs looking up my skirt. I swear, they're all straining to get a peek!

at a desk or whatever i usually sit with my legs out in front of me; though if i really get into something i'm working on / playing i'll scoot in and cross my legs over at the ankles underneath my chair... and i'll usually sit like that at a table or whatever cause my legs are so long that i'm kicking whoever sits across from me otherwise.
I have a speaker next to my desk at home, I twist my chair 30 degrees towards it and puts my legs up on it at near shoulder level while sliding down in my chair.
I think Im going to die of back problems in afew weeks of this but its its the only way to sit without going insane.
I put both my feet on a rack of my desk(which is under the monitor, like 30cm above the ground), one sitting on the other. I also dream about the day when I will be able to work from my bed with the use of a projector(which projects onto my ceiling) and a wireless desktop/tablet... /images/graemlins/confused.gif

thats EXACTLY how i sit most of the time. Even down to the speaker-as-footstool. Two of my coworkers have told me they do not think I have a spine...which I dont think is the same thing as being called spineless, but I'm not sure.

About two-three months ago I decided I wanted to develope good posture. So now when I sit, I sit away from the back of the chair, legs 90 degrees, fairly close together, back straight and shoulders back. When standing I do the same thing, with my arms straight down by my sides (it's amazing how weird that feels right when you first start doing it, you always want to cross your arms or put hands in pockets, etc) It took a while to get up the endurance to sit/stand like that for long periods, but now I feel so much better.
No I've never sat with my legs crossed. Gay.

Sometimes when I'm using the art tablet, I put my left ancle on my right knee building sort of a table with my leg. Never gotten into the whole thigh on thigh action, it always felt wrong.
I worked with a guy that would do the thigh/thigh leg cross thing and bounce the upper foot. He wasn't a skinny guy by any means and way the building was constructed (plyable steal construction) the 3 other desks around him would shake ever so slightly when he did it. If you had a cup of liquid on your desk you would see it shake. Drove them all nuts. Now that we are back on the ground floor he is free to cross and bounce all he wants. I can only guess that he tucks his twig and berries in his ass when he does it, maybe that is why he is bouncing... If thats the case he might be able to make a killing in the gay porn industry?

i can't sit in the same position for long, so i go between knee next to knee, knee on top of knee, calf on knee, other calf on other knee, ankle on ankle, and sat crossed legged on chair. and reading that back makes it sound like a porn scene break down.

i put one foot in the chair so i can use my knee as a headrest. the other leg may be normally on the ground or also up on the chair. it depends on how i am feeling that day. but i dont have a problem sitting cross legged in the way of my scrotum and wangis, as my penis is very small and my balls are mostly undescended.

There was a dr talking about this on NPR the other day - apparently after sitting for long periods, a LOT of people (both genders) will not even realise they're crossing their legs, and switching the cross around and stuff. It's a natural body reaction to when your sacrum/lower back gets too tight, it helps release it and feel better. One thing guys are encouraged to do when sitting for long times is to remove your wallet if you keep it in your back pocket.

I almost always sit with my legs crossed, but in a much different fashion. Basically, I'm always sitting in what is essentially the lotus position with my right leg over my left - the only difference is that I keep my left foot under my right thigh instead of atop it. Yes, people sometimes gawk and wonder if I'm studying yoga or auditioning as a human pretzel for the circus, but I've sat this way since I was a kid and find it far more comfortable than the usual ways that people sit.

When im in a rush to get tons of work done, I dont even sit at all. I kneel on the ground infront on my machine. so basicly I dont use a chair at all. I've found that its quite enjoyable sometimes. I've also always wanted a desk that is higher so I could stand and work.. maybe get a tall bartool to sit on when i really need a rest. hmm one day.

I sit on my feet. I've kinda always sat awkward really, with either 1 or both feet under me. The only other position is the normal both feet down with elbows on my thighs (if I'm sitting forward) or the opposite leg on the top of the thigh of the other. Pissed a lot of people off in highschool; I'd sit like that and they'd walk by getting all the dust off my shoe onto their trousers - was always funny as fuck.

I cross my legs straight out in front of me. Also, Swampbug, I hear ya about standing up at a desk. There's a cabinet near my desk that I sometimes place magazines on top of while reading them and it totally reduces my neck strain. Sometimes my gf comes past as is like wtf, still standing there? But it's good /images/graemlins/smile.gif

the last thing i give a shit about is if i look manly /images/graemlins/smile.gif i sometimes sit like that. i try to have good posture when i work though.
I always sit upright with my ankles crossed, one foot on top of the other, but legs just side by side. Sometimes I stand up and my right foot is totally numb, so I crash to the ground. It's pretty funny when I don't hurt myself badly. And even funnier when I do... =P
