Unfortunately, one of my hard drives has crapped out on me, and I've lost 30gb of data. This was actually my backup drive, where I keep most of my files (most programs and Windows are on a different drive). Until I can reinstall Max, I'm kind of out of this challenge. I know data is still there somewhere, but I can't get to it. Anyone know of any good data recovery utilities?

I've been pretty discouraged with art stuff lately as well. I'll try really hard to get back into this challenge in time, I guess we'll see how it goes. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

my only advice is to not touch the drive until you get some software to recover it. There's loads on the market from norton etc.

Ok, I was working on some textures for this thing, since I can't get Max working yet. Now one of my OTHER drives has crapped out, and in addition my computer refuses to boot. I haven't had much time to mess with it today, but I'll look when I get home. I think something strange is going on.
