I personally would be very disaapointed if this is true . Diablo 2 in my opinion was one of the best single player / co-op fantasy RPG games ever and to turn that into everquest .. sad news if true

Don't get yer panties all up in a bunch. It's probably just something like Guild Wars - an in-game lobby for the instances. Nobody said anything about a subscription fee.

Ha , well you know im sure i'll play it ..it's Diablo after all . I am not one of those people who gripes about paying a subscription fee if that's how I came off . It's more disappointment that it wont be a single player game, but a game world with none linear story I have to share with 1000's of L33T D00D$

As long as it still has a singleplayer mode with no required levelling (i.e. just progressing through the game normally gives you enough level ups to continue without grinding) it's all good.

Diablo was never as cartoony as Warcraft and MMOs just tend to be rather boring.

Man I thought Diablo pioneered that style of gameplay (click on enemies to attack OCD style). It's like an MMO but with fewer people. I should have epected this.

The only Blizzard game I like is Starcraft. As long as the sequal to that is an RTS, I'm cool

Diablo would be a great MMO as MMOs have rather passive fighting and Diablo's combat was a lot of action. Unfortunately I doubt that'll survive the transition.

I actually would'nt mind a Diablo MMO to try out I just did'nt want Diablo 3 so to speak to be a MMO and not make a Single player game .

I've been heard saying "I wish they had taken diablo into the MMO realm rather than Warcraft" I think it would have made a much more interesting world.

If the rumor is true, bliz would do a great job with it. I was addicted to WoW... such a great game.
