can't seem to post in hawken's challenge thread, so I'll ask here.
do handheld games, or any other with stats this low, interpolate pixels? I had to select uninterpolate in XSI so the images wouldn't appear blurred. I like the sharp pixelated look.

Doesn't the PSP support texture filturing and the DS doesn't have that feature? Atleast, that's what I have heard.

PSP defineatly supports texture filtering.
I haven't seen a single DS game use it though, so I doubt it's supported.
Looking cool so far, GX /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Looks great Will /images/graemlins/laugh.gif. Nice to see your taking a break from the ducks. hehe

ah cool. thanks for answering guys.
Lee: seriously. break time. we still hanging out tomorrow? get back online.
256 tris. 128x128 texture.
took me a while to figure out XSI's options so i could get the alphas to render without the texture being filtered.
I can't decide on what to do for monster and scenery.

Very cool! They go well together.
Nice work. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I like the original, all black, no texture version better, but that's cause it was so creepy. Good stuff nevertheless. Looking at your textured version reminds me of low resolution vertex animation (a la quake though kingpin), and I imagine her shaking around like jello for an idle stance. :P

Ya know..that reminds me of alice from american mcgee's alice...with a red dress, of course...
10-29-2005, 10:27 AM
me like Alice
i'm not a fan of the red either. trying something darker.
10-29-2005, 03:40 PM
hehe. The usual. 256 tris. 128x128 texture.
Now for a proper setting.

Love the plant, that's adorable! "Seymour!"

I'm having too much fun with this. Realtime shadows...wooo!
Tonight's progress on the scene. I still have lots of triangles and texture space left.
edit: holy crap I just earned an additional hour. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Got stuck on the scene. Couldn't fill the texture. Oh well.
10-30-2005, 09:11 PM
hahaha that plant is awesome.
10-30-2005, 10:01 PM
yeah. proud of the flytrap the most. I actually own one. take him out for walks. feed him small children.
Happy Boogeyman's Day everyone! Wooooo!
Now, to celebrate, I shall play some Alice.

Looks great! I really like the plant! Was this done in Maya or Max. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif (runs for cover)

heh, i had a flytrap for awhile... one day it became vegetarian and henceforth refused/ignored all insects... it just kind of shriveled away after that.
