Hello Ladies and Gents. And zombies.

Halloween is here (almost)!

Trick:

Create "halloween" themed objects, for use on a heldheld device! (think DS/PSP/mobile phone) Fitting into the following categories:

(1) - item
<ul type="square"> 64 triangles max! diffuse map 64 px by 64px max! spec map 64 px by 64px max! alpha map 64 px by 64px max![/list]

(2) - character
<ul type="square"> 256 triangles max! maps (x3) 128 x 128 max! [/list]

(3) - monster
<ul type="square"> 256 triangles max! maps (x3) 128 x 128 max! [/list]

(4) - scenery
<ul type="square"> 128 triangles max! maps (x3) 128 x 128 max! [/list]

It's a date!

start: now! (Thurs 20th oct)

end: day before halloween! (Sunday 30st oct!) /images/graemlins/grin.gif

(obviously the polycount is a little higher than used on actual handhelds, to allow a little room, maybe we can have another challenge in the future using much tighter counts)

Well, our PSP chars are 3000 :P

But I think these are higher than the DS/mobile standards.

What do you mean by x3?

3 128x128 diffuse maps or 3 128 maps diffuse,alpha,spec?
I'm joining this for fun.
I realy need the lowpoly practice.

what type of animation are we allowed? just a skeleton rig with skin modifier? or biped + skin or biped + physique?

It's a halloween comp with a week left. Really guys, do what you want, and have a good time with it. Just remember to stay low. :P

(hiya, animation has to use bones, and anything animated has to be made into a group with its bones. oh yeah, max only /images/graemlins/laugh.gif)
