hello, can anyone help me out?
im trying to create an 12 sided cylinder along a path of a line, that is deformed,so that the cylinder follows it, but stays low poly, and produces the deformed tube.
can any help with a step by step instruction please? thanks guys!
Well, there are a number of ways, but before we can help, we need to know what software you're using.
Most 3d programs would have a "loft" tool, modifier or option.
Maybe telling us the software name would help answering him mop...hmmm...he may just have a point...

Max8 has much better 'loft' options. There's actually a brand new tool for it, that works much better than the generic loft in max7.

if you are just making a cylinder you dont have to loft.
just click out your spline (drag type: corner) the way you want it and then under rendering you click "renderable" and "display render mesh". Then you can set thickness and how many sides you want your cylinder to have.

also make sure to check the apply mapping box!
