2.5 is a free update to registered users. Some nice goodies on the way.

Holy cow!
When is the 2.5 update due to be released? Is Zbrush still just $600?
I have been loving/hating this program for a little bit now, and these new features just locked me in for a purchase. Silo too maybe.

I'd just keep pressing the Morph UV button... it's hypnotic!

Oooo, looking forward to this! Does anyone have any more info on that zmapper? I'm not sure if it is producing the uv maps first or if they were already mapped and it is just morphing the mesh into the uv map and back.

EDIT: Nevermind, just read on the zbrush forum that it doesn't actually generate the uv maps.

Couple new vids featuring the work of Caroline Delen... looks like the first in a series!
These ones feature some texturing footage and the use of the new ZApp plugin.

The demo is based on version 1.55. Why they haven't updated it to the current version is beyond me. ZB2 is vastly different, as will be the 2.5 update, though if you don't like the UI in 1.55, you probably won't like it much better in 2.

Quoted for emphasis /images/graemlins/frown.gif And it shouldn't be too hard to do since there is a Mac version.

Well, if they don't want to, than there is always someone who will (eventually if developed further):

the interface confused the hell out of me but I took a leap of faith and picked up Zbrush 2 along with the Introduction to ZBrush (http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/mme01.html) DVD from the Gnomon Workshop, it is a great DVD and is worth 10 times what they are charging for it.
