HA! I just happened to watch this a few hours ago with my parents (I'd seen it before, though). That definetly sounds like Bill Murry's Character in "The Life Aquatic." Decent movie. I have no idea about the quotes from the first movie you picked, which is why I made no guesses.

Yeah, that's the Life Aquatic, which had some of the best music yet in Wes Anderson's movies. Also very moving when Steve "get's his revenge." All the sea life was stop-motion!

The first one was "Rubin and Ed," and all you bums should go find a VHS copy and watch it. Crispin Glover plays Rubin. It's simply one of the funniest movies I've seen recently. Also the way Rubin and Ed treat each other throughout the movie is quite interesting and sometimes complex. I'm completely obsessed, though it doesn't blow some peoples skirt up.
