well, I'm posting a new concept becuase I didnt like the other one. This guy's name is Dook Handyhands and he has his trusty Helo-throne to escort him places. He is an evil genius that lacks the heart or lack of to truly be evil, nonetheless, he tries.

The helo-throne is something extra i added because i felt he needed it. So far, I feel I'm done with the modeling of the throne, bearing no serious crits, and i may do a hi poly for normal mapping if time permits. Dont know yet.

Crits welcome tho! (on char design and on model)

(The below has lots of "opinions." My ideas might work or might not)

While I know youre going for the cartoony look on the character, he seems way too compressed down for the way you designed him. With the really thin pieces like his "spine" making up a center for him, the character feels (to me) like it would look better if you made him tall and lanky with long spindly arms and legs.

As far as the head goes, you could probably detail that out a bit more than just a sphere with goggles.

I like the hat a lot by the way.

Anyways, cool style. Im looking forward to seeing the model.

thanks! I'll definetly play around with those ideas. I thought about tall and lanky, but a lot of the characters Ive done in the past are always tall and lanky and i was going to try and break away from it, but then again, It will probably fit this guy better.
Thanks for your advice!

He's got a lot of character. It'll be interesting to see what you do with the texture.
