Weekly Challenge #9-2 Steampunk: aesir's steambot

I was bored last night and made a little 5 minute PS sketch. Too lazy to add anymore color for now. Maybe I'll finish it up eventually. Anyways, never made a bot so this might be fun. Got any crits design wise?

Design wise, it's looks like you spent 5 minutes. Don't be lazy. A month is a long time compared to 5 minutes. Are you still going to try?

edit: I just noticed you've started modeling and it's looking good. Keep it up.

Youre probably right in the fact that I was being lazy. I've always kind of believed that one of my weaknesses was my lack of creativity, but it might just be that I just dont spend enough time on my ideas.

The model ought to be done sometime tonight (I hope)

Here is what I've got so far for the model. I'll probably tweak it a bit for the next day until Im satisfied with it, but its finally got all its parts together so i figured I'd post it.

heeeheee! Nice color scheme. I'd love to see him with white racing stripes. Any chance we could either see him with proper smoothing groups, or with all s/g removed?

I started on the texture and Im kinda likin the way the metal is looking, but I still need to add a lot of details to make it look mildly interesting.
