I am posting this at 6PM (GMT -5) on Sunday, Feb 27. This challenge will last until Sun Mar 6th.

Welcome! This challenge comes to us from the (dirty) mind of our founder, r13. This week's challenge is to create a Dr Suess ispired machine. This would include vehicles or work type machines or gadgets attached to the body. Your limitations are as follows:

<ul type="square"> 3500 polycount limit.
1 512x512 map
[/list]

It doesn't have to be animated or rigged for a specific game. Just the model.

Please post your models in seperate threads with as much progress as you can post. Teams are acceptable.

dunno if each model warrents its own thread, ho hum /images/graemlins/wink.gif

(why not just dump it all in here? easy to see whats been entered that way, non? especially if one wanted to check out a previous weekly)

Hawken, nah, if people are posting WIP images, one a day, and 5-10 people are working on entries, this thread is gonna get cluttered like mad.
I say if just at the end of the week, or whenever they "finish" their work, artists can post their final image in here. That way we get to see the final result without overloading the thread with WIP images.
I think it's fine for every entry to have its own thread...

it's difficult to find good seuss reference. my entry was actually based off a dr. seuss themed children's alarm clock i found from google images.

Some tips: just throw in lots of random...
horns, acordians, hats, boots, gears, springs, tires, flowers, umbrellas, etc.

Yeah,I agree with ya there Elysium..its damn hard to find refs, most of my ideas have acturally come from the seussville website, namily from the background images, images in the online games section and looking at the images of the book covers on that same site....thats pretty much my reference.

Still proberly no bad thing, leaves alot of room for imagination.
