View Full Version : Character concept artist needed urgently
We need an IN-HOUSE character concept artist for a 3 month gig. It's the James Bond franchise but not necessarily what you might assume. This is a real position, available immediately for 3 MONTHS ONLY. It is on site at EA Redwood Shores, CA, USA. You'll be working with our Art Director and lead designer and myself conceptualizing the character content for a 3rd person action adventure title due to ship this christmas.
We're looking for high quality established artists here. Last time we used Iain McCaig for example. But I know that there is talent on this board capable of filling this position. If interested please send websites, examples of work, resumes etc with the subject heading 'Bond concept artist position' to:
Cate Latchford,
Talent producer,
Electronic Arts.

thanks!

I'm not even going to attempt to believe I'm qualified, but it's only a 3 month gig.
How are you compensated for lodging and living expenses and your ticket home when the project is done?....since you want an in house artits, for only 3 months.
I honestly don't know about that side of it Nose. I of course as lead character artist don't deal with finances. You've got nothing to lose from shooting Cate an e-mail and asking her. She doesn't bite /images/graemlins/smile.gif I threw this up here because we suddenly lost our current guy on friday, so resumes are floating around, but I wanted to give the pc community an oppurtunity. All I know about the gig is written above.
thanks.

hahah... especially with the limited engagement this could be mighty tempting, event though i might not consider myself qualified either /images/graemlins/smile.gif
You guys shouldn't sell yourself short. I have to put *some* kind of line in there to ward off total noobs! As it happens, Cate has only recieved one mail about this gig! So we're still looking. I should add too that even though it's only technically a 3 month gig, there is scope to stay on afterward if an impression is made. But that might not be what folks want /images/graemlins/smile.gif

dear sir do not underestimate my powers of overestimation of my chances! EA (read: Whargoul) has contracted me before (read: used Churchill in SSX 3) so i'm as good as in. i shall be applying today! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Good luck Gauss! There are some McCaig-sized boots waiting for your feet on their doormat...
