Anyone played GuildWars?

Yes , i have got onto the Guildwars beta weekend ... im a little late, but so far im liking it ... a little laggy , and combat seems a little primative, but hell , im probly just not understanding it well.

The graphics are quite stunning tho , even tho with the post effect on my GPU crashes every few minutes...

A whole bunch of folks started playing it at work after hours, though I doubt t will replace the popularity of WOW. Still, it's cheaper.

played it awhile ago, lost interest in it. it's the same with world of warcraft and other mmorpg's. couldn't get into them enough.

Apparently the "War" part looks a lot like "Onslaught" from UT 2K?, which MIGHT tempt me to join.

Tried it last year during E3 and thought it was fairly fun. I actually tried to pre-ordered it last week to get the key for the beta weekends but they never got any pre-order packs. It's not a typical MMO, I would say it is basically a game with a 3d lobby that you meet in to find groups. There is also some solo areas that you can play off-line. I will most likely buy it when it comes out.

the war part is quite different ... for an rpg.

yeah , it seems the only place you can randomly meet ppl is in towns ....
