View Full Version : about the realtime rendering in 3dsmax?

well i was wondering if there is a way to get max to render the referance images i use on my background planes a bit better. its fine at the moment i guess, but not too clear, ive got awsome referance art, but it always appears pixilated, and not too sharp, so some details are hard to make out.

anyone know how to resolve this? or if its even possible. ive got my graphics card on full direct 3d and open gl whack (radeon 9800pro) and 3dsmax is set to direct3d for its graphics settings, which is actually clearer than opengl.

I'll post the same reply here that I did in another thread:

Customize - Preferences - Viewports - Configure Driver - Change "Download Texture Size" to whatever you want. Or check "Match Bitmap size as closely as possible" for the best display quality. You'll need to reload the scene before you see any change.
