We are in desperate need of coders and modellers, as well as animators and perhaps texture artists.

Email me at alex.h@rogers.com for more info

So the CS clones won't stop even when CS is included with the game? Interesting...

Earn weapons based on skill, thats such a horribly unbalanced feature that would kill any chance you ever had at getting new players to your mod.

hasn't stopped people using it for other similar mods, like frag ops for UT2004

I didn't notice that Frag Ops had weapon progression but then again I didn't like it at all so I didn't play much... Somehow all of those realism mods are boring. Too much searching enemies or waiting for a respawn (i.e. downtime), too little actual combat (and too little variety in weapon behaviour).

KDR I think the issue you are exsperiencing is not that they are nessarily dull, but they are all the same bloody thing....I mean use abit of imagination, some skill pushing, dedicated team and some nice ideas and there no reason why anyone can't come up with a half decent mod based using the realworld and wepaon backdrop.

Its just a shame that it really is THAT damn difficult to cover all 4 of those areas.

I wouldn't have a problem with them all being alike if the template used for them, Counterstrike, wasn't so flawed.

frag ops 'pays' you for each kill and for accuracy to 'buy' weapons and ammo in one mode, but their new 'war' mode doesn't.

strike force for UT2004 simply allows you to choose between 6 classes, 3 sniper and 3 'assault' and you get different load-outs depending on the class light, medium or heavy.

SAS:into the lion's den for UT2K4 merely lets you select your own load-out and has you fight away.

i agree that it can wind up in boring rounds if you're whacked early on tho.
