Had a productive weekend:

These are done as level props and will have to be re-worked once they're thrown in the engine (HL2) to comply with the physics engine.
Was really fun to make 'em.

Cool stuff. Are all the dangly bits going to move around, and will you be able to bang the gong in the game?
Thats what we're hoping for.

Hey man, coincidentally that very top model was the same first model I made for my portfolio so many years ago when I applied for the job here at EA.

most of this stuff you've already seen in the 'what are you workin on thread... got a few other pieces that aren't ready to be shown off (maybe i'll toss 'em in the other thread).
Hmm, realised now that I need to hollow out my lanterns much like yours is. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Looks awesome. I wanna do the normal for the bell. Mainly 'cause I've never tried normal mapping before. hehe.

started on the temple model this weekend, hope to get the building itself done, though not to a finite detail level (gotta set my goals low so i amaze even myself!)... currently comes in at just about 1700 polys.. i'll link it since, like the sake keg, it's a big image.

/images/graemlins/smile.gif Some pretty good stuff here. Your really building up a large pile of models to texture later on. Lets see some textures! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Haha yah, we're trying to get all the props out of the way then move on to 2D, then on to level construction.

more stuffs... those with two models in the scene means the more detailed version is a hi poly model for normal mapping purposes..

http://www.studioflaagan.com/images/3d/temple/windchime.png
things like the floor mat will (hopefully) be able to have ragdoll-ish physics like the mattress.
thinks like the windchime and the wall scroll will have engine-based ropes holding them up / together, with the scroll subdivided for ragdoll-ish interaction possible...
These are awesome flaagan. Glad to see the inards of the temple being done. Once I get my test done I'll be back onto Serenity /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Looks great. You've sparked my interest with the asian theme so I may have to go out and buy HL2. I passed on it for World of Warcraft /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ok, I made a katana set+stand model. All it needs is a texture now. Heres a render flaag made:
