I've found a server near me for now that we can use....comliments of a friend at Netwerkin.com and the |bac| clan. IP 130.126.249.95:7777 I'll be there evenings and weekends to get some practice. sal_manilla needs much practice. Hopefully Polycount's (R13 /images/graemlins/smile.gif ) server'll be up in a few weeks...good lord willin' and the creek don't rise. /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Scroll down to 'Booking Server' it is in German, and they only accept PayPal, but you can even get a server for one hour only.
For example 3h with 12 players would cost 1.75€.

JKMakowka i am having a couple of problems with the link you gave me, it looks like the prices are very reasonable and i would be more than glad to put up for a server, however my german is nonexistant and i am a little confused, to me it looks like it is counterstrike only? I will try and have a better look at it tonight and register (i doesnt seem to want me to get all the necessary details beforre) but if you have used it before any advice would be helpfull, like is it a good idea to hold out to be able to pay with a credit card or is it worth starting up a paypall acount specifically for this etc.

I'll have a little browse around for other servers too but this one looks good so far and i would really prefere one that someone else has had experience with before giving away my creditdetails etc...

These are the games they offer.

I haven't used it before either (but it was featured in a German computer-games magazine as best 'value hosting solution'), and I don't have a PayPal account, nor do I plan to get one.
But if you have difficulties with the site, why not send a e-mail to :
support@clanserver4u.de
And talk with them directly, so maybe they can also sort out some way to pay with a credit card (since PayPal is evil /images/graemlins/wink.gif )

Sorry i have been so slack and not posted before

the reasons being that i am not sure we can get enough people together for a frag fest? and general enthusiasm, and the price of booking a server.

It appears that it is most usual to book them for a month at a time and most places have a one time start up fee, so for just one short frag it probably isnt such a great idea at 50 odd $

However there is one place that does it by the player hour, but we have to decide a time in advance.

It really isnt too pricy but i dont know what the connection is going to be like, to be able to use we should get a few peeps together and agree on a time first.

Here is the link http://www.icongamer.com/ , any hearsay about it would go down a treat. Its in the US so all us euros are going to have to suffer a little i am afraid, but hell you cant please all the people all the time etc...

Sorry, Tim...that was a bust. I was trying to get my router set up with my new 'puter and flubbed the dub. I still can't get the pc's working on the router. The will both work fine by themselves on the cable modem.......sheesh /images/graemlins/frown.gif
