Ok so yesterday I lacked anything to do, so I tried to export a test model into quake to figure out how to do it..and later do a serious attempt /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Using the video tutorials by Hays Clard from Omita.com and the Lightwave exporter plugin from: http://members.bellatlantic.net/%7Embristol/

This is how far I've come, and I would like to ask what the problem could be? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I did..mostly..everything he did, but I have to say that I skipped some .skin "coding" and maybe that could be whats missing? /images/graemlins/smile.gif
But then when you check the console:

whats up with that then? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

all the .md3 files are like 162bytes big..which is kind of disturbing..I mean..162bytes, whats up with that /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
the model is not animated or anything, so I guess that could make the size so so so very small /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks /images/graemlins/smile.gif

btw. I searched the forum of course, got like 1000 hits per search, most was about anyone tried Half Life 2, and was of no concern to me.. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi the problem might be your .skin file. It might be corrupt for some wierd reason. It looks like quake 3 can't find the texture you are supposed to be using. This happened to me once when I tried to make a new texture for a character and everything worked except the face. It was quite interesting and a pain in the but to fix it, but with some help from a friend I was able to fix the issue. Just clone an existing .skin file from your quake 3 pk file and change the paths inside a text editor to point to your model and see if that fixes it. Good luck.

yeah well that was what the tutorial told me to do, so the .skin file is a copy from Xearo actually /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Ill look through it again I guess, but this still leaves the problem with the error in lower.md3 :/ /images/graemlins/smile.gif
