Hi everybody!

I just started this goblin/orc type fellow and I plan to make him mid-poly ranged. Any help or suggestions with the poly flow or muscle structure would be greatly appreciated. Right now it stands at about 1200 tris.

EDIT: I just noticed the eye was still in there, I'm probably going to replace it with a bit lower poly eye.

At the least, i'll say that chest has some really hard boobie corners, you might wanna look into that.

Heres a quick update. I'm going for a slight feline twist. I worked on the ....boobie corners...and any other help would be great.

You might want to look into your muscle structure a bit. Get some good referances and build off of them. He looks a little flat in front/back but its a good start. Whats with the background? /images/graemlins/wink.gif This is polycount duder, you dont have to spruce up your wip renders with a funky background. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Heres another update.
I'm pushing it more towards a leopard type character. I tried to fix the flatness alittle not to sure of what that means. And i only add the funky background because I like to fiddle with photoshop.

I did the feet and fixed the knees. Sorry for the painful background...

It's about 2300 tris now.

The shoulder blades are way to far out. and the shoulders themselves are way to high in the air.

You should also look for more of a smooth transition from one poly to the next, you make a lot of sharp edges for no reason.

He's very bulky for a feline character. I'd be inclined to go for a more graceful, agile look rather than the heavily muscled style you've got going there. The fact that he's so short in the body accentuates this to a fair degree. Perhaps it'd be worth making him a little taller and less squat.

Heres another update. I made the hands and did a few adjustments to proportion. I also made a mane for him, I wasn't sure how many polies i should give it. After looking at this pic i just noticed the wrist looks weird, besides that and c&c is still good.

I've finished unwrapping him and I blocked out the colours.

mebbe it's just me but a simple grey backgroud will help people to give you a more focused critique...
all I can say now it that the idea seems interesting (about the model)

honestly, 3 horthos and a pers shot would be better if you're waiting for C&C
