a pilots license in the state of new york? i've googled it, went to the official website, but nothing.

a friend of mine in Ohio was studying to be an airlines pilot, i was 21 at the time (he was too i think).

I dont think you need perfect vision to be hobby pilot, in army yes and in commercial flights yes.
here in canada you can get a pilot's licence as young as 16. I'm getting mine this summer
Not for airliners, I believe you can have contact lenses, but not bubbles googles.

if its a recreational license, its 17 years of age (i get mine in february /images/graemlins/laugh.gif). if you were going to be a commercial pilot youd likely not even be asking this question, since you would probably already have your private license, and would already have your instrument rating. THEN you could become a commercial pilot.
anyway, GOD DAMN, flying is fun. i need to go up again this weekend. anyone else here that also already is a pilot?
