Elemental - Huozouren - Fire

Looks like my original post was lost in the transition to the new boards. Almost end of the month here - got to get cracking. The idea here is that people are able to harness amazing amounts of energy. I give the example of martial arts practitioners harnessing life forces such as Chi in Tai Chi. What if someone could focus the energy so much that it could manifest itself into something more than an invisible force; fire /images/graemlins/smile.gif Let me introduce 'Huozouren' which loosely translates from Chinese into Fire Walker.

I'm still trying to hammer out the normal map workflow here, but in the meantime am working on the low poly cage.

Hehe, ya, he is pretty round! Trying to tighten things up. Still trying to shoot for Sunday night finish on this, so really have to crank this weekend! 3872 tris thus far - still room for lots of little details like wrinkles in the clothing, a weapon, and some props to go on the body.

Really falling behind schedule here! Model is nearly done - last thing I need to add is the teeth, and then it should be good to start creating the normal map. I noticed that the topology that I had going for the face was really off, I reworked it, and hopefully it will give me some nice facial deforms.

Wow...if I had not read that I'd be screwed. Lol, mines near done, but I planned on stretching it out till Sunday...cause thats when I thought the 19th was...oh well...crunch time...EA style...
