just some stuff i don't think i've posted. in order of oldest to newest.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/mech-ortho.jpg
did this some time in college for some silly steampunk game based on that tribes engine that predictably went nowhere. but i still like this design.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/sadbot.jpg
i can't remember when i did this, but it's called 'sadbot.jpg.' go fig.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/salaryman_ash.jpg
a goofy wanna-be ashley wood doodle.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/samurai_professor.jpg
along the same lines as the previous character but a bit more in earnest. still need to work on cloth and anatomy.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/mop_bot.jpg
based off a robot design of Mop's, i just spruced it up a bit.
http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/armordude1.jpg
armor dude. fun little sketch.
http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/caco_color.jpg
right around when doom 3 came out, here's some fanboy art from me.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/thegeneral.jpg
also kinda doom 3 inspired/related, i should probably finish this one.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/biped_sentry.jpg
i loved the sentries in doom 3, this was my take on an older, bipedal model made by the same company.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/sneakpeek.jpg
woman in power armor. very much a WIP still.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/skunk3.jpg
another power armor type design for police/military forces in heavily overpopulated urban areas--essentially a walking tank for riot control, etc.. will elaborate or continue to work on this design later.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/gauss/pimp/zombie2.jpg
just a little doodle from last night.

thank you for the kind comments, people who posted kind comments. which is basically just cheap and rogue. as for the rest of you, i'd call attention to the little 'm' flag next to my name. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

my favorate is the 87 robot based off of mops concept. its the only one that feels finished and refined. the rest just feel unconfident if that makes sense. hope to see more color work out of ya, crazy gaussle. 8-)

Gauss! That rocks man. They all rock. You've got a style, thats for sure. You ever try to do a full on illustration? These all seem so 'concepty'. They're all awesome - some just feel unfinished. Just a thought /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Keep it up dude.

poop and/or brome: well, i think some of the stuff i posted is pretty finished--though i might have some interest in illustration, i am and will probably be for the near future a concept artist, not an illustrator. the whole point is to communicate an idea, a concept--it's a means to an end. unlike illustration, which in this industry unless it was for a box cover or manual art (an increasingly rare specimen), or something otherwise periphery like UI art, splash screens etc., i really don't see the point of going all-out on polishing my pieces up. i'm not interested in it stylistically, nor do i really have the patience or forebearance to accomplish it /images/graemlins/laugh.gif now when i get back to doing some actual game art, a model or texture or what have you, then i'll be more interested in 'polishing up' my stuff more. in the meantime, basically all my art is for concepts, which for me speed is a much higher priority than polish.

eq: thanks man, i thought about posting that one, but looking at it now i want to fix up some too-quickly sketched mech bits before i post. but she will be coming, never fear /images/graemlins/smile.gif

He looks more like a can't-decide-which-video-to-rentbot than a proper sadbot.
