Ryan Schmidt has a “could be handy” app that mixes meshes together.
Who hasn’t wanted to combine a library of parts into a single mesh at one point or another? Some sculpting apps sort of have ways of doing similar tasks but they have their limitations and draw backs. If this app does nothing for the industry other than nudge the sculpting giants to adopt similar work flows I would be happy.
Check it out! www.meshmixer.com
It’s free, and he’s asking people to help fill out the image gallery, so maybe you could donate some samples and help him out. The best tech in the world doesn’t go very far without some good examples to get people excited and honestly, most of what he has in his gallery, just creeps me out…

that is epic.
Whoa thats freaking sweet. I can sorta see this being useful…
haha, thats awesome.
Seems like loads of fun
Gotta give it a go.
This would make a BEAUTIFUL char gen
Hope it has mirroring (didn't show in the vid). Because if it does, it would be absolutely perfect for piecing together all sorts of characters on the fly. Modeler character building is a pretty brilliant idea.
Nice tool but pretty useless if you are a 3dcoat user
this looks perfect for if you wanted to make some Salvador Dali stuff/ if you wanted to mess around you could knock out some crazy stuff with this.
