A bunch of cool things have gone on around the Polycount Community this week. Hawken has kicked off a new Low Poly Challenge, we are reaching the final days of the Team Fortress 2 Polycount Pack Contest and most importantly, there has been some stunning art all throughout the boards.

If you’ve been living under a rock, then here’s a small select bunch of work that has appeared on the boards this week.

WAYWO Thread

Pimping & Previews

EricV has some new additions to his work in progress thread which contains a bunch of technically beautiful sub-d modelling, some sculpting and even some environment work. If you’ve missed this thread in the past, be sure to check it out now!

New Polycount member AntonM exhibits his stylised female character with some awesome facial morphs that gives the model so much character and life. Be sure to make him welcome.

A great start from StolenPants on his character Chandra Nalaar from Magic The Gathering.

There are tonnes of other projects going on in Pimping & Previews, spend a bit of time trawling through there and you won’t be disappointed.

TF2 Polycount Pack Contest

With the deadline looming ever so close (June 28th, 2010), everyone seems to be putting their final touches on their entries and there have been some seriously solid work from everyone.

Here’s a quick look at some updates on entries from Zwebbie, ScudzAlmighty and larolaro.

Remember, the Contest Dealine is 00:01 PST, Monday June 28th, 2010. So get your entries in before then because you don’t want to see all that hard work go to waste.
